Our lactation consultant will conduct a breastfeeding assessment with a feeding to measure intake. From there, we’ll provide education on pumping and bottle feeding, as well as a functional assessment of your infant’s oral anatomy. If applicable, we’ll conduct a feeding assessment and management after oral tie release. Regardless of your needs, our Fort Worth lactation consultant will develop an Individualized care plan for your infant feeding goals.

Planning for your birth includes preparation and education on feeding your baby after delivery. That’s why our Prenatal + Breastfeeding Consultation introduces mothers to pump education. Navigating these questions with an experienced lactation consultant and registered nurse prepares you for the birth of your baby. We also recommend our prenatal consult for Fort Worth mothers who previously experienced breastfeeding challenges.

Designed for mothers preparing to return to work, mothers of NICU babies, exclusive pumping mothers, and anyone else desiring pump and bottle feeding education. Our Pumping + Bottle Feeding Consult includes flange fit sizing and assessment, education and observation of pumping techniques, tips and recommendations on ways to maximize milk removal, and bottle feeding education.

Our Fort Worth Lactation Consultant offers consultations after an oral tie release. This includes a wound check, weight check, and update to the feeding care plan. If a feeding assessment (with a weighted feeding to measure intake) is needed, a follow up clinic visit would need to be scheduled.

LACTATION + NEWBORN
Please notify us at least 24 hours in advance in the event you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Cancellations or rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours in advance will result in a $100 ($75 for peds) fee. Patients who fail to show up for their scheduled appointment without prior notice will also be charged the $100 fee.
This policy applies to all appointment types including acute visits, well visits and follow-ups. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please call our office at 817-720-6220 ext 2.
